The Process
When applying for a role with Gingerbread Nanny Agency we follow a vetting process to ensure the safety of you and the safety of the families we work with. Here is what you can expect when applying for one of our roles:
Apply for the role
When you are ready to apply for one of our roles or even just to sign up with us to receive vacancy updates, all you will need to do is fill out our nanny application form. From this we will then require various different documentation from you including your CV in order to complete all our checks. (See below for the Nanny requirements).

Once we have received all your documentation we then plan to meet you face to face or via video call for an informal interview. There are no right or wrong answers during this meeting, this is simply so we can learn more about you and what you are looking for in a nanny family to ensure the best match possible for both you and the family.

After we have completed all of our checks and have learnt more about you, your interests and exactly what you are looking for we can then move on to passing your CV across to the families. We meet all our families face to face in their homes to ensure your safety. It is from here that the family can decide if they would like to pursue you for an interview.
To join gingerbread nanny agency we require:

At least 2 years experience as a nanny or experience within the childcare sector

Level 3 or equivalent qualification with childcare (we are happy to take on an unqualified nanny if a family specifies they would prefer this)

Longevity in previous roles

Be over the age of 20

You to hold an enhanced up to date DBS check

You to hold an up to date first aid certificate (dated within the last 3 years)

You to have at least 2 contactable references
